The Volcanic Park in the Golan heights is a paleomagnetic site; the basalt rocks there have changed the Earth's magnetic field over time. The ancient basalt rocks are the result of ancient volcanic eruptions and are characterized by reversed magnetism. Borrowed from the field of geology, this term means that compasses are disrupted and it is therefore worthwhile to bring compasses with you and watch them go crazy due to this strange natural phenomenon… There is also a very short foot trail among the basalt rocks.
