Ein Netafim
The name of the trail Ein Netafim prepares hikers well for what awaits them; the name translates to mean “The Spring of Small Drops” and indeed, the spring at the end of the trail is probably one of the smallest and driest you will ever see! Well, we are in one of the driest areas of Israel after all… Ein Netafim is a water spring that is located in the Eilat Mountains close to the Israeli-Egyptian border. It is the only perennial spring in the Eilat area and serves as the main drinking water source for the animals in the surrounding area. In the evening and night the animals gather around the spring in order to drink- animals include gazelles, goats, rabbits and birds. The trail is a part of the Israel National Trail which stretches for over 500 miles along the country. How to get there: From Eilat, travel west on the “Ma’aleh Eilat” Road (Number 20) in the direction of Mitzpe Ramon. Drive for about twenty minutes and you will see a sign for Ein Netafim. Turn off the road on to a dirt track to the right and you will be able to park in the parking lot. The trail starts there.

Hello reader. My name is Charlotte Noris and I am sure that you will definitely enjoy my blog. Do you know why? All because on the pages you will see bright and colorful photos, as well as useful information. My husband and I are freelancers, so we can travel at any time of the year.
For myself, I most often plan tours in advance, but it also happens that the trip turns out to be spontaneous when I see an interesting place and a nice price. At the age of 35, I have visited more than 30 countries and do not plan to stop there. I want to visit all continents and the most secret corners of our planet.
